PROSTATE CANCER UK.

Picture
Dale and Dave Braithwait (MC PHMVC) would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who has contributed and helped us raise what we have for  Prostate Cancer UK. Never in a million years did we think we would be able to raise what we have. Bearing in mind our target was £3000...
what we actually all raised is £11,814.82
Every single penny of this goes to Prostate Cancer UK. The money that has been raised will help to find new and better ways to diagnose and treat men with prostate cancer.
Were all very proud of what has been raised and extremely proud of Dave for the awareness he has raised     Round of applause to every one of you.

Pye Hill & District MVC, Carlton and Sandiacre MVC's joined forces to present a fine evening of song to a packed church, St Paul's ,Daybrook Nottingham; We raised over £1600
There were many positive comments from the audience saying what a fine sound we made from such a small choir.
Our MD Linda Darnell directed us well and Rosemary Jones accompanied us sensitively on the piano.

We gave a concert at the United Church of All Saints (UCAS) Belper Road, Stanley Common, Ilkeston DE7 6FT at 7.00pm. A particular highlight was a fine rendition of "Danny Boy" by Mel on his harmonica!

Swanwick

Picture
On Tuesday 18th October 2022 it was with a very heavy heart that we sang at the funeral of one of our senior choir members, baritone, Bill Walker.
Bill had been a member of the choir for an immense number of years and he will be massively missed for his musicality, his humour, his solos and for the very pleasant man we all knew him to be. R.I.P.Bill.

Bulwell

On Wednesday 26th October we said another farewell, this time to  Top Tenor, Colin Dutton. He had also been a member of the choir for very many years serving under at least 5 MD's over time.
The funeral took place at St Mary's Church, Bulwell, where Colin was a chorister; as he had been in his youth
We were joined at the funeral by members of the Bestwood and Alfreton Male Voice Choirs.
